Keep this evening free: November 26th, for a festive charity hafla in Ponsanooth Hall: 7.30 – 11 p.m!
Come and join Seef Saffah for an evening of music, dance, food, drink and mingling….all for fun and to raise money for the excellent charity Shelterbox. Be there or be square!
Tickets £4 in advance or £5 on the door from 7 p.m. onwards.
So: what’s happening? Bring yourself, in party mood wearing your most glitzy dance gear…or whatever you want. We’ll make a party happen! Get as many of your folks and friends to come too: the more the merrier. Bring food to share (there’s a kitchen) and whatever drink you like since no drink is sold at the Hall. Bring any music that makes you get up and dance. If you’d like to perform, all the better! Just have your CD or ipod with your tracks. There’ll be the chance to join in with some group dances (no pressure) to show everyone what you’ve been getting up to in class! Here are some of the Ponsanooth dancers posing between numbers at the hafla that we had in April at the Hall. This was in aid of Hilde Canoodt’s project to get refugee women dancing, socialising and orientating in London. This pic shows Seef Saffah performing also – at some speed, by the looks of it! Later there’ll be time for boogying to any music that gets people moving, so non-Belly Bolly bods can boogy and bop to their heart’s content.
There’ll be a raffle in aid of Shelterbox, so anything that you can donate for this will be really welcome. We’ll also have a ‘Random’ table for any dance items that you’d like to swap or sell. So have a good rummage among those things that you don’t need any more and bring them along. Someone is going to love them!
Reasons to be cheerful on a long dark November night…this marks the start of the festive season! So, see you there.
Quiz me if you’d like to know more 🙂
